Engineering for Ohio's plastics, metals, and machine shops
Ohio makes things at a density few states match — polymers in the northeast, stamping and machining everywhere, and an automotive supplier network feeding assembly plants across the Midwest. Willowark serves that base with automation, vision inspection, and custom software.
We engineer remotely and commission on-site, which means an Ohio plant gets senior engineering attention without paying for a big integrator's overhead.
How manufacturing runs here
Ohio's industrial base, as we find it.
Ohio is a top-three manufacturing state by most measures. Akron's rubber heritage evolved into one of the nation's leading polymer and plastics clusters, the state is thick with metal stamping, machining, and fabrication shops, and its automotive suppliers feed Honda's Ohio plants and assembly lines across the region. Aerospace propulsion around Cincinnati and Dayton, plus glass and food processing, deepen the mix.
High-volume plastics and metals production is ideal territory for machine vision — surface defects, dimensional checks, part presence — backed by our line automation and plant-data software.

Where's the site?
Tell us about the plant in Ohio.
Design and software run remotely; we travel for commissioning and installation. One line about the line is enough to start.
Common questions
Asked by teams in Ohio.
Do you travel to Ohio for on-site work?
Yes. Commissioning, integration, and installation are done in person, and Ohio's cities are easy trips from the Northeast. Design, programming, and support continue remotely between visits.
Can you retrofit vision inspection onto older Ohio production lines?
That is common work for us. Most Ohio plants run equipment that predates modern inspection, and we add cameras, lighting, and edge processing to existing lines without a controls rebuild.
Can machine vision reliably inspect the molded plastic parts Ohio plants produce — glossy, black, or clear?
Often, but it depends on the defect and the part, and we say so early. Glossy, dark, and transparent plastics are usually a lighting problem before they are a camera problem, so we typically test your actual parts with several lighting setups before committing to a design. Some defects — short shots, flash, missing features — are reliably detectable; subtle cosmetic flaws sometimes are not. Feasibility testing happens remotely with your samples; commissioning happens on your line.
